In 1987, Marge Davidowich launched Sweet Eats Bakery, igniting a passion for baking that has captured hearts ever since! Marge, a proud graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, honed her skills as a pastry chef at the Hyatt Hotel in Cherry Hill, where she met the amazing Doug, who was the food and beverage manager after completing his studies at the University of New Hampshire.

Sweet Eats Bakery has always been more than just a business; it's a family affair! Their three wonderful children—Michael, Teri, and Devon—have played crucial roles in the bakery's journey, contributing to its vibrant growth and success. When Teri married Justin in 2012, he eagerly joined the family team, further strengthening their values. Over the years, Sweet Eats has taken exciting steps, moving from Blackwood to Laurel Springs, then to Somerdale, and finally finding its perfect home in Voorhees in 2010.

This beloved bakery has garnered numerous accolades, earning recognition from prestigious publications like Philadelphia Magazine and SJ Magazine. We are truly committed to quality, using only real butter and cream products. This dedication ensures that our cakes, cookies, and desserts not only dazzle the eye but also deliver delicious taste!

At Sweet Eats Bakery, we're all about family and sharing the joy of exceptional food with everyone who values delightful flavors. Join us in celebrating the sweetness!

Our History

Douglas C Davidowich
July 19 1955- June 30 2023

Douglas was an incredible man. People that knew him would say that he had the biggest heart, and his personality could fill any room with smiles and laughter. He was a man that only wanted to provide for his family and make sure his children and his employees had the guidance and love that they needed. Sweet Eats Bakery was built on the love that Marge and Doug shared for each other and the business.

We are so grateful for the experiences that we shared.

Doug would want everyone to remember him with a smile on their face.  He was a jokester and he made us all laugh. He taught us not to take life too seriously. He was always in good spirits, even until the day he died.

He will truly be missed.
